WHC Hot Water Extraction (HWE) Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning & Mattress Cleaning
We offer hot water extraction services to only residents in California. Very hot water and, sometimes, a cleaning agent is applied at high pressure, via water-jet nozzles, with a grooming tool to agitate the carpet fibers and dissolve dirt.
Simultaneously, the carpet is rinsed with hot water, and water is suctioned back up with an extraction wand. Be aware that the heat of the water can affect the natural fiber carpets like wool or velvet, and because water is used, efficient water extraction and a sufficient drying time are vital to avoid mold growth.
Hot water extraction is also considered the best treatment for pet stains and odors, and the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification recognizes a four-step professional process for cleaning up pet waste.
The cost will depend on the loops in the carpet and how tightly they are twisted, with Berber being the easiest and cheapest to clean. Cotton and wool carpets may cost more.
Mattress cleaning is very similar to the furniture cleaning process. Both have a large surface area that acts as an air filter in your home - they easily trap odors, dirt, and allergens. An average used mattress could have anywhere from 100,000 to 10 million dust mites inside.
If you’re one of the 76 million Americans who suffer from asthma and/or allergies, having up to 10 million dust mites per bed is an easy trigger for your symptoms because dust mites and their waste are common constituents of household allergens.
Wave House Cleaning is proud of offering mattress cleaning. Commonly referred to as steam cleaning a mattress, we use hot water extraction to clean your mattress. Using hot water to clean your mattress is beneficial because, to kill dust mites and other contaminants, you need to heat it above 70 degrees. We also use gentle, neutral cleaning agents that are tough on dirt but harmless to the environment as well as your family and pets who spend time on the surface.
WHC Tile and Grout Cleaning
Grout is especially porous, and tile often needs professional tile cleaning. Tile and grout tend to quickly accumulate dirt, grit, soap scum, mildew, and even mold, along with other contaminants that make your tile and grout look dingy and dull no matter how hard you scrub.
Even with diligent cleaning and care, it is recommended that your tile and grout are treated with a professional tile and grout cleaning to restore the shine and vibrancy.
Benefits:
Restores your floor’s appearance to “like new”
Removes soil build-up
Prevents stains and soiling with our sealant
Creates an invisible barrier that can block stain penetration
Leaves your floor easier to clean
Tile & Grout Sealing
As mentioned above, grout lines between tiles are highly porous. Tile sealing can help prevent stains and damage from exposure to the elements as well as spills. Tile is most often used in damp environments such as kitchens and bathrooms. Therefore grout lines must be sealed to prevent moisture from penetrating beneath the tile's surface. Tile and grout sealer should only be applied after it is thoroughly cleaned. Otherwise, you are sealing in the stains and discoloration.
